Our 'Cook' is a premium semi-brogue, featuring Goodyear welted rubber soles for greater longevity and grip. Cook uses the 'matrix' last shape for a generous fit and bold toe shape, and is available in a 'f' fitting. Cook is handmade in England at our Northamptonshire factory.
Matrix is used within our Shoemaker range to give a contemporary twist to classic formal shoes, such as the Smith toe cap Oxford or the Jones brogue. Matrix has an elongated toe shape with a rounded point. This last generally runs true to size and is comparable to our traditional F fitting last shapes in terms of fit.
Featuring a straight toe-cap with some light 'punched' decoration around the toe or wing-cap. A semi-brogue is an uncomplicated option for that classic, yet relaxed look, that works great with either a suit or chinos.
